The Movies is a strategy game that allows you to create your own movies. The game allows you to take complete control of a filming set, a la Hollywood, and film your own movies. There are many tools that the user is given to successfuly complete a movie. For example, you can create your own scenarios, with several different items, like cars, backgrounds, houses, etc. After that, you can insert your own characters, which you can also modifty to your liking via the character editor. This ressembles Microsoft's avatar creator, but with much, much detail. After that, you can record your own dialogs or simply add subtitles. While you are doing this, you can preview the movie to see how it is coming together. You can also take the role of a film studio boss or a film-maker, both have different obligations. After you are done shooting your movie, you can edit it and then share it with all your friends. The game is mostly a tycoon-type game, with both the advantages and disadvantages that such a genre brings about. |
